I am Tina, a two-year-old Tibetan goat.

A few days ago, my life changed completely.

The person who was taking care of me could no longer do so and made a difficult decision: to find a place where Bambi and I could continue to live together.

Yes, because we are inseparable.

She is only six months old, and since she was born, we have never left each other's side.

When the gate of the Sotto la Panca Sanctuary opened before us, we were a little scared, but we never lost sight of each other for even a second.

Every new smell, every noise, every step... we faced it together.

Tina's story

Not all stories begin with a rescue from an abusive situation.

Sometimes love also means recognizing that you can no longer guarantee an animal the life it deserves.

That's what happened to Bambi and me.

Our owner loved us, but she could no longer take care of us. Instead of letting us end up in the wrong hands, she looked for a place where we could live together forever.

That place today is the Sotto la Panca Sanctuary.

Here, no one considers us an asset to be bought or sold. No one determines our value based on how much we produce or how much we can yield.

Here, we are simply two lives to be respected.

In the first few days, we explored every corner of our new home.

When one of us stops, the other stops too. When one eats, the other immediately comes alongside. We sleep close to each other and face every new thing together.

This is the beauty of true bonds: they give courage even when everything is new.
