Cipolletta e la sua famiglia: la storia dei gatti salvati che resteranno insieme

Cipolletta and Her Family: The Story of Rescued Cats Who Will Stay Together

Some rescues concern a single animal, while others tell the story of an entire family. The story of Cipolletta, Pretty, Lucy, Desy, and Mia is one of motherhood, siblings, games, naps all together, and bonds that, at Santuario Sotto la Panca, can continue to grow.

Cipolletta, whom we also call Victoria, is the mother of Pretty, Lucy, and Desy. Mia joined the family later but was welcomed and nursed by Cipolletta and grew up alongside the other little ones.

Today, this family lives together at the Sanctuary. And watching them all huddled together, playing, and constantly seeking each other out, it's hard to think of them as five separate stories.

Cipolletta, a special mother

Cipolletta is the center of this small family. She raised her kittens, and when Mia arrived, she did something wonderful: she welcomed and nursed her along with the others.

We don't know what animals think using our words and categories. However, we can observe what they do: protect, seek closeness, sleep together, and care for their young.

Cipolletta reminds us that motherhood, in the animal world, is made up of concrete, daily behaviors.

Anyone who wishes to accompany this mother on her journey can symbolically adopt Cipolletta and contribute to her life and that of the other rescued animals.

Pretty: curious, sweet, and already a star

Pretty has his own way of observing what's happening around him. Like all the little ones in the family, he is growing and showing an increasingly defined personality.

To introduce him, we created a short Nice to meet you video. Because, sometimes, a few seconds tell more about a character than a long description.

You can learn more about his journey and symbolically adopt Pretty.

Lucy: growing up also means exploring

Lucy is growing up with her family, amidst games, climbing, rest, and that curiosity that transforms every corner into something to discover.

Seeing her with Mia reminds us how much the growth of young animals is also about relationships: playing together, observing each other, chasing each other, and then finding each other close when it's time to sleep.

Lucy also has her introduction video.

If you want to follow her growth, you can symbolically adopt Lucy.

Desy, part of a family that will stay united

Desy also grows up alongside her mother, siblings, and Mia. Every day we learn something new about her character and how she chooses to interact with others.

Talking about a family does not mean erasing the individuality of its members. On the contrary: it means recognizing that each individual has their own personality and, at the same time, relationships that can be valuable in their life.

You can directly support her journey through the symbolic adoption of Desy.

Mia: a family can also be born from care

Mia holds a special place in this story. She is not Cipolletta's biological daughter, but she was welcomed, nursed, and raised along with the other little ones.

Today, looking at Mia with Pretty, Lucy, and Desy means seeing a family built also through care.

Why we tell this family's story

When talking about rescued litters, the story often ends with the search for a new home for each individual kitten.

At Santuario Sotto la Panca, we also want to tell another possibility: that of animals finding a forever home without necessarily losing the bonds built during the first months of their lives.

This does not mean that every situation must be identical. Every rescue has a different story, and every decision must take into account the real well-being of the individuals involved.

In the case of Cipolletta's family, we have the opportunity to protect them and watch them grow together.

Five animals, five symbolic adoptions, one family

Symbolic adoptions allow different people to accompany the journey of one of the Sanctuary's animals, while the animals continue to live in their home and with their family.

If you prefer to help the Sanctuary as a whole, you can also make a donation and support all rescued animals.

A family saved. A forever home.

Cipolletta, Pretty, Lucy, Desy, and Mia can continue to grow together, protected and respected as individuals and as a family.

Because saving a life is important. But when we can also protect the bonds that make that life richer, we choose to do so.
