Over £11,000 raised for animals at Sotto la Panca Sanctuary: Confidentials Manchester reports on successful campaign
The Santuario Sotto la Panca is delighted to share an extraordinary achievement: thanks to the charity campaign organized by Sicilian NQ during June 2026, a total of £11,291.13 has been raised to support the animals rescued by our sanctuary in Sicily.
The result was also reported by Confidentials Manchester, one of the city's most well-known editorial platforms, which on July 7, 2026, published the article "Sicilian NQ raises thousands of pounds for Sotto la Panca Animal Sanctuary."
The article highlights the success of the Dining for a Difference campaign, born with a simple yet ambitious goal: to demonstrate that even a restaurant can become a concrete tool to help animals and promote a culture based on respect and solidarity.
Over eleven thousand pounds for rescued animals
Throughout June, Sicilian NQ donated a portion of the proceeds from its charity menu and involved hundreds of customers in fundraising for the Santuario Sotto la Panca.
Thanks to the generosity of the Manchester community, the restaurant's customers, and everyone who chose to support the initiative, the campaign achieved a result that exceeded all expectations.

When catering chooses to make a difference
For us, this result goes far beyond the amount raised.
It means that thousands of people chose to transform a simple dinner into a concrete act of solidarity. It means that an independent restaurant decided to use its daily work to support an animal protection project. It means that more and more people believe that food can also be an instrument of change.
As stated by Claudio, co-owner of Sicilian NQ:
"We are incredibly happy with the result and profoundly grateful to all the people who supported the campaign. It was wonderful to see how positively our customers responded and how a restaurant can become a true tool of support for animal rescue."
From support to concrete projects
Every donation received represents a responsibility towards those who have decided to believe in our project.
For this reason, we will communicate with maximum transparency how the raised funds will be used.
The first intervention that will be financed thanks to this campaign concerns the construction of the drinking water system for the different areas of the sanctuary, a fundamental infrastructure to ensure clean water for the animals already living with us and to allow the Santuario Sotto la Panca to continue to grow and welcome new rescued animals.
Over the coming months, we will publish updates on the work and on subsequent projects that will be realized thanks to this extraordinary fundraising.
A forever home
The Santuario Sotto la Panca was born with a simple mission: to offer a safe, forever home to animals rescued from abandonment, mistreatment, and exploitation.
Here, animals are not temporarily housed awaiting transfer or adoption. They become part of our family, and we take responsibility for their care and well-being for their entire lives.
Every contribution received allows us to build a better future for them and for all animals that will need to be rescued in the coming years.
Thank you
We sincerely thank Sicilian NQ, its extraordinary staff, all the customers who participated in the campaign, and Confidentials Manchester for reporting on this initiative and its wonderful outcome.
The £11,291.13 raised does not just represent a sum of money.
It represents thousands of small gestures which, together, will become water, security, new spaces, and a better life for the animals of Santuario Sotto la Panca.
